Colgate Savacol Freshmint is an antiseptic mouth rinse, useful for short term management of gingivitis and gum infections by reducing dental plaque formation. It may also be helpful in reducing discomfort with mouth ulcers. 

Best results occur when used in combination with professional cleaning by a dentist or dental hygienist, and with excellent plaque removal at home - toothbrushing and flossing/interdental cleaning.

Not for long term use - maximum use three times a day for seven days. If no improvement of gum infection, seek dental treatment.

Active ingredient(s): Chlorhexidine Gluconate 1.28mg/mL and also contains Ethanol 96mg/mL (alcohol) and Saccharin.

Directions for use: 

Adult use only. 

Use 15mL, undiluted, rinse and hold in mouth for 1 whole minute after meals/three times a day, for 5-7 days.

See a dentist if gum condition not improving after 7 days.

Do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes. If in eyes, rinse well with water. Contains 12.2% v/v alcohol.
Chlorhexidine can cause severe allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical assistance if this occurs.
If red or bleeding gums persist for more than 2 weeks, stop use and seek professional advice from your dentist. Painful swollen gums, loose teeth and bad breath may be signs of periodontitis, a serious form of gum disease which requires professional treatment.

This product may lead to:

* temporary change in taste perception,

* cause reversible staining of the teeth and tooth-coloured restorations 

* lead to increased tartar production.
